The Basler Pulse series cameras are a range of compact and lightweight cameras with a robust and sturdy housing. Despite their low power consumption, these cameras deliver a very high image quality. The Pulse series is suitable for less demanding applications, making it a cost-effective choice. The cameras feature a USB 3.0 interface, making them easy to integrate into both existing and new systems.
A distinctive feature of the Pulse series is the compact size of the cameras. With a diameter of 38.8mm, a height of 28.2mm, and a weight of less than 60 grams, these cameras can be placed anywhere. The USB 3.0 interface allows the cameras to be connected with just one cable, providing a high degree of flexibility in terms of placement and installation. For mounting on a bracket or base, the camera is equipped with standard ¼-20 UNC threading.
In terms of image quality, the Pulse series offers a wide range of frame rates and resolutions. The Pulse series provides frame rates up to 60 fps, resolutions from 1.2 to 5 MP, and includes an integrated image optimizer that adjusts images, even at full camera speed. Users can also choose between cameras with a rolling shutter and a global shutter. Global shutter cameras are particularly beneficial for capturing moving objects as they capture the image in one go, unlike rolling shutter cameras that build the image in layers. A global shutter camera offers very high accuracy and minimal distortion.
The Pulse series is supplied without a lens. The camera comes standard with a CS-mount lens attachment. Optionally, with the use of separately available adapters, the CS-mount can be adapted to a C-mount or S-mount.
